An Illuminating Light, Amidst the Darkest Day

The outbreak of the COVID-19 Virus has affected every single part of the world drastically, taking down a lot of businesses, causing economic crisis to multiple countries in the world, giving rise to the unemployment rate of almost every single country in the world, worsened world hunger and also unfortunately has greatly affected the quality of our current education.

The virus led to the shutting down of schools globally, as a result, education has changed dramatically, with the distinctive rise of e-learning, whereby teaching is undertaken remotely and on digital platforms. Let me clarify that e-learning or online learning isn’t as fun and as pleasant as face to face learning, in face to face learning there is more interaction between the learner and the teacher, more interaction between learners and their fellow learners, and more memorable overall, while online learning is very safe, it doesn’t offer much to the table, it requiring electronic gadgets and internet makes it less accessible, it is also less memorable and also a lot more stressful compared to face to face learning.

Online learning might not have been the brightest way of guidance in our life but in the meantime, let’s all stay safe and stick with it, let us all be grateful for having a form of education during these hard times of the pandemic. For now, let us take our time to build back society, let’s take slow but meaningful steps of progression to build a stronger and tougher foundation, so that we may never have to fall again.
