Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte

Malacañang Palace, San Miguel, Manila

Dear President Duterte,

A lovely day to you sir president, I am sending you this letter because I want to tell you how grateful I am to be a Filipino citizen in your term of presidency, I also want to express my issues and concerns during your term as the Philippine president.

First thing’s first, I am pleased that your War on Drugs is turning out quite well, even though the drugs in the country isn’t fully gone, your administration still did quite well, but you should know that violent isn’t always the best choice in winning wars, this war is no exception, instead of guns and blood, you could also conduct guidance programs that aims to alter the perceptions of reality of drug addicts for the better.

Also, in our current pandemic you should prioritize funding our government hospitals and other healthcare facilities. Our front-liners are also suffering, not only do some work overtime but they are also underpaid, I could safely say that out front-liners are suffering much more than what the infected are experiencing, they deserve so much better.

All in all, I know it’s hard to support these projects financially, especially because our economy is currently falling apart, but as the father of our country I know you can get through this! I am overall pleased in your administration, may you always stay honest and in good health Sir!

Sincerely yours,

  1. I believe that using violence to eliminate drugs in our nation is not the greatest solution for President Duterte. Furthermore, his response through this whole pandemic has been quite underwhelming. He was clearly unprepared for this. But, behind it all, I hope he does not become ignorant of our country's situation, but instead I hope he tries to do what is best for the Philippines.

  2. I also agree that the violence should be toned down or better yet, avoid using violence completely. Violence is never the answer. I also think that he should've focused on spending money more on our healthcare rather than the military because we're literally in the middle of a health crisis. All hope is not gone though. I still hope that he will do better during the remainder of his time as our president.
