Presence, not Presents

In the Philippines, as we enter September we already feel the cold breeze of December, and as we near the final month of 2021, we feel the warm welcome of our towns people begin to decorate and chant Christmas songs to signify the beginning of the holiday seasons

Hearing the word "Christmas", the first thing that comes to my mind is a festive pine tree decorated with shining balls, artificial stars and with presents filled below it, well this must be the thought of most people, but we should remember that we celebrate Christmas on the 25th of December because it was the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, he  is worshipped as the “Messiah” and he saved the entire world from our sins. Even though it is mainly celebrated by Christians throughout the world, it is still one of the most enjoyed festivities in the world.

Christmas has always been an occasion I’ve always been looking forward to every year, and it’s not because of the gifts but because it is one of the days where I get to see every member of our family celebrating together.
