What's A Bird Without Its Wings?

Image
What's a bird without its wings? could it fly like the others? will it be able to keep up with its flock-mates? Is it able to soar as high, or even dream of reaching new heights? A simple yet resounding answer for these grave questions are a no. A bird stripped from its wings is a prisoner of its own, restricted from its flight, further derogating the value of its existence A wingless bird is very comparable to that of a person who is forcefully restrained from freedom, they can hardly fight for their natural rights and even struggle in living a normal life. Filipinos under the colony of several abusive countries were exactly on this situation. Living as a Filipino in these timelines were immensely abused, they were slaves, they were treated like dogs, they were oppressed by the grueling dictators, their potentials and rights were suppressed by the race-bias authorities, their voice were never heard because the Filipinos weren't even the main decision makers of their own territ...

Constants Like You

I once played a video game named Bioshock, with really fun gameplay and magnificent narrative and twists, it is a game I will hold dear for a very long time, not because of the aspects I mentioned, but because of its lessons, lessons like "Your part in the play or the play itself" which hints at the fact that all of us are destined for something greater, "Your worst enemy is yourself", and the line that hit me the most is when they were exploring knowledge about the multiple realities they would call the "multiverse", the main protagonist stated "Constants and Variables", being struck of this line, I paused the game and glared around my surroundings, contemplated, and it just shows that as the concept of change seem to engulf me in times, you are there, you will be there, you will always be there, to keep pushing me into the cruel winds of life.  Must there be a more beautiful, sympathetic, kind, and every other positive adjective you could think...

A city in Luzon, Philippines called Vigan City is home to various big and enjoyable festivals, such as Longganisa festival commonly held in the city's fiesta (25th of January), the Raniag Festival commonly held in celebration for the dead and Halloween, and the Binatbatan Festival or the Festival of Arts commonly held in the first week of may. In this blog we delve deep in the concept of the Binatbatan Festival of Vigan and i will try my best to elaborate as much information i can squeeze out from my mind. Without further ado, lets begin. The days of the Binatbatan Festival is said to be as colorful as the rainbows from the above, it can be described as this because these days are said to give significance and utmost importance to the influence of the Spaniard colonists to our city, mainly the ancestral houses of Vigan and the abel cloth. The weeklong festival is clustered with different engaging activities for locals and tourists alike to enjoy. One of them being being the amazing...

We Men, Empowering Women

Image
In the ancient times where technology was still at its lowest, females were always looked down upon the society. The possible main reasons are because they are "incompetent" in combat, and because of their presumed "lack" of physical attributes, they were always "inferior" than that of men. When war seems to be always stirring and lands were the shiniest gold, most of them were at home only left worrying about their husband and the future of their infants. Later, the concept of equality emerged as the women were done with their position in society, they craved for what men also had and it is what they also very much deserve. In our current society, we could still see people looking down on some women, but in the course of our lifetime, we have seen multiple things that people with feminine attributions do much better than people with masculine characteristics. We can harvest a plethora of examples from this statement such as them being better in cooking, ...

Just A Little More

Well, we are approaching the end of another quarter, I am still not ready to say goodbye to grade 10, since I've never fully embraced its contents and enjoyabilities just yet, Its going to suck since there is only one more quarter left but on the bright side, Face-to-Face will get implemented on the start of the final quarter, so I am very much excited to see some familiar faces for almost 3 years. This quarter might be one of the most memorable ones in my opinion, not only because the topics presented and discussed this time were one of my favorites, but also because this quarter was as fruitful of juicy knowledge as ever.  This quarter was hands down magnificent. Science presenting my favorite branch which is biology, I personally just adore studying the plants, animals or even humans like ourselves. English being the most fruitful subject, because our main topic this quarter was creating essays with critical analysis, this promoted my critical thinking and when writing essays I ...

As the vicious storm of the so called COVID pandemic continues to whirl down our economy and society, we have found different ways to defend ourselves and combat the virus. Despite this, it is still able to find ways to endure and live a long life even until now, ways that include their own body auto immune mechanisms that develop immunity. Likewise, us humans are also able to gain immunity as our last-line of defense against the virus, these are called "vaccines" and they are currently being distributed to children, specifically COVID Vaccines. Respect and Honor, for the Fallen Noble

Image
The only things that mattered in the world war II was the concept of Battle and the results of either a glorious victory or a painful defeat. From the blood thirsty invaders to the noble heroes that risk their  lives to serve as a bastion for their beloved nation. The invaders in this case are the Japanese Colonists who paved their way to colonize us, the Filipinos. In the 9th of April of 1942, Japanese and Filipino Joint Forces, accepted defeat in a way of surrender, subsequent to this the surviving prisoners of war were forced to walk from Bataan to Pampanga (66km), it lasted from 5-10 days and the Japanese escorts offered no support to the survivors. This was known as the Bataan Death March where the death of thousands of Americans and Filipinos happened because of the severe maltreatment and inhumane conditions they were forced into.  This was truly a grueling part of history, just before after this the Filipinos decide to commemorate the fallen by what is known as the "Ba...
